As in the case of most small websites, updates to Dolmen are applied by at most a couple of Administrators and usually on a not so frequent basis. There is however some Dolmen member activity out there and this page is an effort to collaborate as much relevant information as possible and bring it to the viewer in one place.
There are two means of finding out whats happening which are reserved for club members only. These are email and teamer notifications. To avail of these you need to sign up ! Other sources however are public and are listed below.
StravaActivity level: High. Several club members are now on Strava. You do however need to sign up to Strava yourself to see who is doing what, this is a simple and comparatively painless procedure. Some club cyclists who you can then follow are shown below. Note that these links still work even if you are not on Strava, but you see far less information:Activity level: Moderate. As there is a reasonable amount of activity on the Dolmen facebook page it is one of the better ways of tracking what has being happening. However you will see limited information unless you are already signed up to facebook.GarminActivity level: Moderate. More GPS tracking devices are appearing on club cycles than ever before and some owners of these are uploading route data to websites. If you're wondering how long, hilly or fast club cycles are or what routes are most often used, these uploads are one of the best ways of finding out. Dolmenists will often tell you one thing, often the reality is different: GPS doesn't usually lie however. The public Garmin data linked here shows statistics for a large number of Dolmen weekend spins, some Dolmen organised summer club races and a couple of Irish Cycling Calendar A4 races. To scroll through data for different trips, click on the Previous and Next buttons:Garmin data from other members club cycles: Dolmen BlogActivity level: Low. As of December 2012, the Dolmen Blog has an authoring username set up which all members can use. This blog can be accessed here. Usage is low, however material does get blogged from time to time.Activity level: Low. Some members are active on twitter. Not everything they tweet of course is relevant to Dolmen or cycling, however tweets can sometimes give an indication as to who is thinking of doing what, particularly in relation to racing and weekend activities. If you are not a member of twitter yourself but want to see what members are tweeting about a twitter account has been set up to do that, click here and then click on members to see their tweets. As more Dolmen members become active on twitter in future (active means actually tweeting and not just owning a twitter account), dolmenccmember will start following them.
